Tour Updates: 2 New dates, Pittsburgh Cancelled, Toronto Moved to 8/5
Jul 17 2009
Recently added shows are: DENVER, CO on September 11th at the Fillmore and SAN ANTONIO, TX on September 20th at Sunset Station.
The August 5th Chickenfoot date in Pittsburgh, PA at Riverplex Amphitheater has been cancelled due to logistical reasons. The band is sorry to miss the chance to play for their Pennsylvania fans and hope they can reschedule in the near future. Fans can return tickets to Tickemaster for a full refund.
The August 4th show at The Sound Academy in Toronto, ONT has been moved to August 5th. Tickets originally purchased for August 4th will be honored; no action is required by fans. Customers who wish a refund may obtain one by dealing directly with the same outlet they purchased the tickets through.
My buddy and I were really bummed out when we heard the news about the Pittsburgh show being cancelled so we took the initiative and bought tickets for the Baltimore show. We are die hard Sam Fans! We got 4th row right in front of Mikey and "Oh Yeah" was it a great show. It felt great seeing this band. Great Job guys! Chad is an incredible drummer! Satch is well Satch! Mikey kept it all together and Sammy... you never sounded better! Reschedule for Pittsburgh PLEASE!!!! The Burgh wants to see you. The only request I would make is play "Runnin' Out." My favorite tune (right now). That was the only song you did not play last night. Thanks for a great show! It was worth the 4 plus hour drive, getting pulled over by a State Trooper ( not for speeding but for a tail light being out - gasp) and having a great time with my bud!
Chickenfoot rocks!! Please, please, please set a date for Salt Lake City. I'm beggin!!!
UPDATE
Yeah, yeah--I know: DJs. But even though Pittsburgh radio isn't the best (they do play "Oh Yeah" and new VH songs whenever they come out though), our rock DJs are pretty cool and accurate. When I called to find out why and if they are planning to possibly reschedule, the one I spoke with said the reason was because The Foot was having problems with the promoters. She said one of the two parties were getting impatient but wasn't sure who, and the ticket sales were actually strong. Since it's local stuff, I'd wager it's true. In terms of rescheduling? They hope, but know nothing about it.
I couldn't reschedule and had to return my tickets for the Toronto show. So disappointed.
Hey CHICKENFOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey you guys Im real big fan of you guys. Um how come your practically going every where in the U.S but not the Northwest? Im kinda disappionted considering i missed seattles show. So if you guys could find a way to get up here thatd be sauceome. Get this im 14 and your my favorite band ouot there right now so yeah. I like to count on you guys to make good music considering music today suck big hairy balls!!!! I dont even like a single band thats out today other than you guys. So yeah. COME OUT PLESAE!!!!!
I have two sets of two tickets for the August 8 show in Detroit. They are in the sold-out mezzanine, very close to the stage. I just need my money back out of them. They are on eBay (as a BuyNow) and Craigslist (Detroit, tickets) as two separate listings, one for each pair. Two lucky couples will score excellent seats
I too was Very Disappointed by the cancelled show, in " CUPBURGH " ! ! !
SHIT HAPPENS ! ! ! Get over it and move on with your life. To the CryBaby,
who is no longer a "Foot" fan, YOU WERE NEVER A FOOT FAN ! ! ! In fact, I doubt you are a FAN of anything
except yourself ! ! !
I have turned on aleast three or four people to the FOOT. I will continue trying to convert,
non-believers, to the FOOT.
To Joe, Chad, Mike and Sammy; KEEP ON ROCKING, WE WILL SEE YOU ON THE FLIP SIDE ! ! !
May the FOOT be with us ! ! !

Yes, I am also quite disappointed about the Pittsburgh show. I was planning on taking my 13 year old son so that I could show him what real talented, great rock musicians sound like live. I also used vacation time from work. Some of you have been brutal about this, and yes, I am upset too, but I still love Chickenfoot!!! They put out one of the best cd's I have heard and I haven't gone a day without my dose of The Foot. I hope to try to make the Cleveland show, if I can find someone to work for me, and if I can get those tickets I am supposed to receive. Does anyone know if they will just automatically send them to those of us fanclub members who live in Ohio? I haven't heard anything since I read that on this site.
Hey Chickenfoot!
Please come to Winnipeg. Your album is amazing. When ever I am cruising around or sitting at the lake listening to it, people come up and go wow who is that? I tell them and then talk comes up about hoping you guys come here on your tour. Again great album and please come to the Peg!!
I was really looking forward to seeing toronto show but it got moved to the same nite as the tool show :((
I hate to see this, but the band dont call the shots on this. Band management and promoters call the shots. I think you will see more of this from alot of different bands with the economy the way it is. It stinks with everyone making plans and schedules. But, I know Sammy Hagar would be there and play for his fans if he had the choice. Even if only 1 or 2 showed up. I'm sure all the other guys are the same way. KEEP ROCKIN CHICKENFOOT. Come to Kentucky and play sometime.
Sammy fan for over 30 years,
RB
Wow. My wife and I were planning on going to the Chickenfoot show to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Very let down by the news of the canceled Pittsburgh show. I haven't heard many advertisements for the show and was very surprised at the venue that was picked for this show(at a waterpark). I would have thought they would have played at the Ampitheatre at Station Square, considering it is actually in the city and very easy to get to. I am assuming poor ticket sales were the reason for the cancelled show. Pittsburgh hasn't been too kind to Sammy. The Van Halen show back in 2004 was not even close to a sell out and Sammy's solo show back in 2006 maybe drew 3,000 people at a venue that can hold 20,000 people. It's a shame because Sammy puts on a GREAT show. Wake up Pittsburgh there is more entertainment out there besides Steelers games. Local radio is beat too. This town is very stuck in their ways.
OMG! NO CHICKENFOOT IN PITTSBURGH ON AUG. 5TH? I'M SICK TO MY STOMACH! JUST ONE DAY AFTER MY 45TH BIRTHDAY (8/4/64). THIS IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENTS OF 2009 FOR ME! I'M A RED-HEAD FROM WAY BACK! WHEN I HEARD THAT THE SUPER GROUP CHICKENFOOT WAS FORMED I WAS SO EXCITED! AND THEN I HEARD THE MUSIC! HOLY S*IT! IT ROCKED! THEN I SAW THAT THE THE FOOT WAS COMING TO MY HOME TOWN (PITTSBURGH PA) AND I WAS SO EXCITED BECAUSE HAVE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY AND I AM WHEELCHAIR BOUND AND IT'S HARD FOR ME TO TRAVEL. NOW... NO FOOT :o(.
I DON'T KNOW WHY IT WAS CANCELED. AS FOR BAD PROMOTION, TRUST ME I SAW NOTHING IN THE LOCAL PAPERS AND VERY LITTLE ON THE RADIO! SOMEONE'S NOT DOING THERE JOB AND US FANS HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE! SAMMY HAS HIS FOLLOWING OF FANS RIGHT IN PITTSBURGH PA AND THE TRI-STATE AREA! PLEASE, TRY TO RESCHEDULE THE PITTSBURGH SHOW! WE NEED OUR DOSE OF THE FOOT! AS FOR A VENUE, HELL YOU CAN SET UP AT MY HOUSE AND JAM! THE BLENDER IS ALWAYS SPINNING! VIVA CHICKENFOOT! PLEASE DON'T FORGET ABOUT US!
YOUR PITTSBURGH CONNECTION,
MARIO
I can't believe the show has been cancelled due to logistical reasons. It makes no sense. Sounds like they have no intention of rescheduling even though they "hope they can reschedule in the near future.". It's a damn shame! These guys kick ass and the CD proves it! I couldn't wait to see them! The only promotion I heard about the show on radio, I caught by chance and it was on an AM Sports Talk station as I was flipping stations. This area would definitely go and see this concert if it was promoted better! I only knew about the show through Chickenfoot's website and then I only knew about Chickenfoot's website through redrocker.com. The music is awesome! Please guys, come and play Pittsburgh! You have a lot of fans here who would love to see you guys play the fantastic music you have created! Let's see what happens "After the mud has settled.".
Logistical reasons my A$$!! This is total BULLS**T!!! The promotion of this band and album in the Pittsburgh area was piss poor at best! WDVE doesn't even play Oh Yeah when you request it! I'm from this area and never even heard of this venue!! WTF!! To me the real reason they canceled is because of POOR ticket sales! WE WILL NOT SEE CHICKENFOOT IN PITTSBURGH!!! EVER!!! I paid $40.00 to join the fan club to get first choice on tickets and what do I get, a T-shirt and a dry F**K in the A$$!!!!! Took vacation just because of this concert and now I can not cange my vacation!!! THANKS FOR NOTHING promoters and CHICKENFOOT! No longer a fan!!!
Yeah this is a Bummer. A friend and I went from WV to Philly to see The Foot. We were looking forward to the Pittsburgh show as it is several hours closer. I had to stay up late in the morning to get fanclub tickets after working 12hrs on Mids. I know Chad was hurt and hope he gets better soon. Guys you have to try to reschedule the Pittsburgh show, As your leaving out nearly the whole state of WV and a big part of PA. I agree with the other poster in saying that there is NO PROMOTION of the show in the area. Had I not been a fanclub member I would have never known about the show. Guys keep us in mind for another show...
Guys... I can't tell you how disappointed and upset I am about the Pittsburgh Show being cancelled. As a die hard "anything Sammy" and Redhead to the core, I'm bummed man. I feel the promoter, did a horrible job promoting the show. I never heard anything about the show on the radio. Now I'm speculating but that's just my opinion. The only reason I heard about ticket sales was through the email blasts sent out by Chickenfoot. Please reschedule! This town wants to see you. I want to see and hear this fantastic music played live. Peace Guys! GET IT UP!
Logistical reasons? Did they book Toronto and Pittsburgh the same night? Why not give those fan club members that purchased the fan club to obtain a presale for Pittsburgh the opportunity to obtain the tickets to the Cleveland HOF show? This is a totally unprofessional act. If you want a fanbase in a city, at least give them a reason to cancel. Oh well... another summer without any good concert in the 'Burgh.
Sucks about the Toronto show. Like others, I had time booked off work, travel and accomodation arrangements made. All for nothing now. Looks like I will have to get a refund or sell my tickets.
Club 1013 has been tremendous in communicating with me in order to obtain a refund on my tickets. Quick responses...thank you so much. Luckily I have VIP as well so my hubby and I can still go to the Wednesday show as we lucked out as we are on holidays. Leah&Pat
VERY DISAPPOINTED about the Pittsburgh cancellation. We are in WV and could go to Cleveland but it looks like only Ohio fan club members can get tix. Baltimore show has already been on sale so no great seats are available now. Sure hope you guys find a way to swing by Pittsburgh at a later date cause we sure want to see you!
Man that is a bummer about the Toronto show. We are coming from about 4 hours away, had hotel reservations set up and vacations from work. Hopefully we can get everything worked out, a ticket refund doesn't add up to squat when you lose a few hundred bucks of hotel money and a vacation day.
Agreed. People have lives. Things cannot simply be rescheduled with employers, hotel and flights. The sad irony is that it's the most devoted fans who get it in the ass, since they are often the ones traveling the greatest distance to see the show. That kind of trip takes planning and pre-arranging. I Don't blame the guys in the band. It's just a bitch, that's all.
I propose a make-up concert in Pittsburgh. Reduced ticket prices, and a S.R.O. general admission venue. And complimentary "Chickenfoot" Snuggies.

Very upset and lost here. My wife was so surprised and happy when I bought her Package. We could't afford 2 let alone travel. We went from a great night and some cool memorabilia to nothing in 1 second flat. The local Best Buy's won't even give me a sign! We will get Cleveland tickets but where will seats be. Not a comparable experience. Anyone who bought a package and paid for this experience should get Cleveland token of appreciation. Show an email or reciept for Pittsburgh show you obviously supported and get something! Transfer the package to Cleveland! Oh Yeah, I forgot the two seperate purchases for tickets we made and the loss on no-refundable fees. I got a bill for a show with an unexplained cancellation! Always a fan but it feels like someone cut off one of my Chickenfeet!
